Exercise is essential if you want to become healthier, happier and successful.

Exercise keeps your body performing at its peak. Exercise helps to detoxify your system. It develops muscle tone to support your bones. It can help the prevention of osteoporosis in later years. Osteoporosis affects men and women although a greater number of women are affected.

Your heart and lungs benefit immensely from regular daily exercise. Not only do you strengthen your muscles, you also get your blood pumping. This helps deliver oxygen to your brain and helps remove toxins from your bloodstream.

Exercise also helps regulate your weight. This is beneficial to your body as it helps control blood pressure and blood sugars.

High blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes are diseases that are prevalent in our society due to the excess consumption of food and the lack of exercise. They are mostly preventable and the best form of prevention is exercise.

The good news about exercise is that you only need thirty minutes per day of exercise to make a difference. Thirty minutes of brisk walking, or jogging, running, swimming, or your favourite sport is all it takes to become fit and healthy.

If you are very unfit, you should talk to your doctor about any exercise program. You do need to start exercising immediately but commonsense will tell you that you should ease into an exercise regime.

Every day you exercise, you will get fitter. The fitter you are the better you will cope with day-to-day problems. You will think more clearly, be able to concentrate and you will be able to work more efficiently.
